Los Angeles West Valley Detachment 1490, Marine Corps League, is honored to welcome Sergeant Major Troy E. Black, USMC, Retired, as Guest of Honor and featured speaker for the 2026 Marine Corps Ball.
From his service as an infantry Marine to becoming the 19th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps and later the 5th Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Sergeant Major Black served at the highest levels of enlisted leadership in the United States Armed Forces.
