Young Washington Advance Screening Coming to Los Angeles June 3
As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary, community members have an opportunity to attend a special advance screening of Young Washington, a new feature film exploring the formative years of George Washington and the experiences that helped shape his leadership, character, and commitment to service.
The screening will take place on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at AMC Century City in Los Angeles.
The film follows Washington’s early life and the challenges that influenced his path long before he became the first President of the United States. Through themes of perseverance, responsibility, leadership, and service, Young Washington offers audiences a look at the man behind one of the most recognized figures in American history.
The evening will also feature opening remarks from Peter Daniel Cook, Marine, educator, and author. Cook is a strong advocate for literacy, education, and storytelling. His presentation will focus on how historical films like Young Washington help inspire further learning and discussion among students, educators, veterans, and community members.
This special invitation is being extended to veterans, educators, civic leaders, families, and anyone interested in American history and leadership. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
