Upcoming Detachment Meeting Scheduled for May 28
The Los Angeles West Valley Detachment 1490, Marine Corps League, will hold its next detachment meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 1900 hours at VFW Post 2805 in Canoga Park.

Members, FMF Navy personnel, and motivated community supporters are encouraged to attend. These meetings help strengthen connections across the detachment while supporting local veterans, programs, and community initiatives.
Detachment meetings provide an opportunity to:
• Stay informed on upcoming events and projects
• Support veteran and community outreach efforts
• Meet fellow Marines and members of the local veteran community
• Learn how to get more involved with MCL 1490 initiatives
The detachment continues to focus on participation, service, and maintaining strong ties within the West Valley veteran community. New visitors and prospective members are always welcome to attend and learn more about the organization and its mission.
